On 7 April 2016, at the launch of the Electrocoup F3015 pruning shears, Daniel DELMAS inaugurated the roundabout at the entrance to his home village.
A sculpture of a pruning shear was erected in the middle of the roundabout, opposite the company, making Cahuzac sur Vère the world capital of electric pruning shears.
At the foot of the sculpture is a plaque reading "CAHUZAC SUR VERE: INVENTION OF THE 1st ELECTRIC SECTOR IN 1984".
This sculpture was made by José MARQUES, a local wrought-iron craftsman, who was Mr Delmas' first employee when he set up his business.
In this way, the village is paying tribute to a native of the area who has always contributed to its economic development and local life.
Many local political figures were present to celebrate the event.
The entire staff, who were behind the idea, were also on hand to applaud the successful completion of the project to raise the profile of the village of Cahuzac sur Vère.
