a great choice Safety at Moët & Chandon

With DSES from Infaco, Moët & Chandon protects its tailors against cuts.

Safety is a major concern at Moët & Chandon. During pruning, the Champagne company is offering its employees the DSES glove. Connected to Infaco's Electrocoup pruning shears, the risk of cuts is eliminated.

Every year, Moët & Chandon employs 580 temporary and permanent staff to prune its 1,300 hectares of vines. From November to March, they apply the pruning systems typical of the Champagne region: Chablis pruning, Marne valley pruning and Royat cordon pruning.

Most of the employees working with electric pruning shears have chosen Infaco.
To improve employee safety during the 5 months of pruning, Moët & Chandon provides a variety of equipment such as Infaco's DSES system.
A pioneer in anti-cut safety systems for 15 years, Infaco is the first manufacturer in the world to have developed and marketed electric pruning shears with an anti-cut safety option.

For the F3010 and F3015 pruning shears, the system consists of a conductive safety glove connected to a specific DSES spiral cable. As soon as the cutting head comes into contact with the conductive glove, the pruning shear blade is instantly triggered to reopen, thus avoiding an accident!
For the past two years, Moët & Chandon has been working with Infaco to organise training courses in the field to raise employee awareness of the cut protection provided by the DSES system.
Rudy Scolari, head of the Moët & Chandon winegrowing equipment and resources pooling division, explains the "safety at work" strategy deployed in this episode of the web series "A pruning choice".
