A look back at customer testimonials at SITEVI 2025
Almost a year ago, at SITEVI 2025 in Montpellier, many of you — winegrowers, arborists, cellar masters and estate managers — came to our stand to share your views. Your feedback, as reflected in these testimonials, is always invaluable in guiding our development and ensuring we keep your priorities in mind.
As the grape harvest draws to a close and ahead of the launch of the next season, we look forward to seeing you at the Vinitech-Sifel trade fair, from 1 to 3 December 2026 at the Parc des Expositions in Bordeaux.
From the F3000 to the F3020: decades of loyalty and candid feedback from the field
At our stand at SITEVI (the trade fair for winegrowers and arborists), your testimonials highlighted a shared history that in some cases has spanned 10, 20 or even more than 30 years. From the legendary F3002 and F3010 electric pruners right through to the transition to the F3020 and the AT1000 tie-up machine, your feedback has, above all, praised the increased cutting power, how light they feel in the hand and the drastic reduction in muscle fatigue after several months of intensive pruning. Many also highlight the low depreciation of the equipment when resold, its competitive maintenance costs compared to the competition, and the simplicity of the built-in settings.
“I always keep the old model of pruning shears for a few more years; they’re quite easy to resell. There isn’t a huge drop in value. I always say it’s a worthwhile investment because, given the number of days we spend using the secateurs each year, it’s well worth it,” says Jonathan Brunot, a winegrower.
But beyond cost-effectiveness and durability, these discussions in Montpellier have, above all, enabled us to engage directly with our technical teams and developers to ensure the design of the tools is tailored to the realities of your work in the vineyard.
Come and meet us at Vinitech 2026 to discuss your line of work and try out our range
This direct relationship between designers and users is the real driving force behind our innovations. Whether you’re pruning 15 hectares as part of a team with a full fleet of equipment, or have just switched from a rival brand to the F3020 professional pruning shears, your perspective is invaluable to us. We’re always keen to hear about any challenges you face or the different experiences you’ve had.
“I’ve tried out some battery-powered pruning shears. I think they’re better suited to private individuals who prune less frequently and have smaller areas to cover. On large estates where we prune much more throughout the day, I don’t think they’re particularly useful,” comments Kevin Fuentes, a tractor operator.
Join us in December at our stand at the Vinitech-Sifel trade fair in Bordeaux: come and try out our latest innovations, test the tools in real-world conditions, discuss matters with our teams, or simply share your user feedback with us, as shown in the video below. And if you’d like more information in the run-up to the event, please don’t hesitate to contact your nearest distributor.
❓frequently asked questions❓
The link between INFACO and its distributors means that we are as close as possible to the end users. It is they who feed back expectations, constraints in the field and suggestions for improvement. These exchanges feed the internal teams (after-sales service, design office, quality) and enable us to design tools such as the INFACO F3020 Electrocoup or the F3015 pruning shears that are ever more adapted. It is this constant dialogue that has been the strength of the INFACO brand for over 40 years.
INFACO focuses on ongoing training, on-site demonstrations and local technical support. Each distributor has access to training materials and after-sales advice, and can help their customers get the most out of their INFACO electric pruners. Whether it is the Electrocoup F3020 model or its accessories (vests, gloves, extension poles, etc.), INFACO is committed to ensuring the best possible user experience in the long term.
Our Design Office comprises around ten staff members who work day in, day out on the tools of tomorrow. We estimate that it takes around 6 to 7 years to develop a new generation of secateurs.
For INFACO, a French manufacturer of electric pruning shears since 1984, user feedback has been essential from the very beginning. Distributors and professional users, who are experts in their fields, are involved in the innovation cycle from a very early stage. Their feedback from the field is analysed by the quality department and incorporated into new developments by the design office, in order to offer tools that are truly tailored to users’ needs.
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis of the elbow or shoulder, result from repetitive movements and prolonged mechanical pressure. Electric pruning shears such as the INFACO F3020 eliminate the need for manual clamping: a single press of the trigger initiates the cut, even on thick branches in vineyards or orchards. Carrying the battery on a vest or belt also distributes the weight across the torso, relieving the wrist of any excessive strain.
