Getting to grips with the electric tether with integrated vine battery :

Giulia Sanchez's testimony

Since the 2025-2026 season, Giulia Sanchez has changed her attachment system. She now uses INFACO's new AT1000. Between changes in work habits and operation, she tells us about her adoption of the machine.

You were using another fastener before the AT1000. Today you work with INFACO as part of a partnership: how did the switch to the AT1000 come about and how did you integrate it into your day-to-day work?

The switch to the AT1000 was very natural. At first, I kept my old reflexes: I raised my arm to pull the wire, as I used to do with my old tying machine. But I soon realised that this was completely unnecessary. With the AT1000, everything is designed to make the gesture fluid and precise.
The tension of the wire is well calibrated, and tying is stress-free and effortless. In practical terms, I quickly integrated it into my daily routine, almost without transition.
Today, I work more instinctively, without having to compensate or force the movement, and that really changes the comfort level over a full day of tying.

Over a full day's tying, what do you observe in concrete terms with the AT1000 binder in terms of comfort, posture and fatigue, particularly in the wrist and arm?

Over a full day's tying, my posture is totally different compared with my old binder. As far as I'm concerned, it's very comfortable to hold: you don't force it, you don't break your wrist and it's a natural movement. As I said, you don't have to lift your arm to pull the wire.
Everything is fluid and well-calibrated, so you can work without unnecessary strain. At the end of the day, I clearly feel less fatigue in my wrist and forearm.
The movement is more intuitive, closer to that of the pruning shears, so the body follows more easily, even at a fast pace.

In the vineyard, what really makes you more productive with the AT1000 on a daily basis?

In the vineyard, what really makes me more productive on a day-to-day basis with the AT1000 binder is first and foremost the capacity of the spool. It's bigger, which means you can tie for a long time without having to constantly replace it. That's a real time-saver, especially over a full day's tying. Secondly, it jams very little. And when it does, it's extremely easy to untie: in thirty seconds, without exaggerating, it's sorted. You don't waste time, you don't get nervous, and you're right back on track.
Changing the reel is also very quick and intuitive. Everything is well thought out, it's simple, efficient and doesn't require any complicated handling.

And then there's the practical side: the belt is very comfortable, with a hook to hang the attachment when you need to stop for a moment. The integrated pocket also means you can keep a few small tools close at hand for quick repairs or adjustments.
Everything is designed to avoid unnecessary trips and interruptions, and that's what really makes the difference to a day's work.

When you compare a day's work "before" and "after" the AT1000 vine attaché, what changes most in the way you work?

When I compare a day's work 'before' and 'with' the AT1000, what changes most is the continuity of the rhythm. The spool lasts much longer, the battery lasts all day and, in the event of a jam, it can be released very quickly. There are no more repeated interruptions. Everything runs more smoothly, so you can keep up a steady pace from morning to night. The belt with integrated pocket is also a real plus: you can keep a few small tools close at hand for quick adjustments or repairs, without having to make unnecessary trips back and forth. All in all, it's a real time-saver, and above all, it gives you peace of mind when you're working.

But I also think it's important to remember that good equipment needs to be maintained. Like any tool, you have to take care of it: blow it out regularly, oil it when necessary... Well-maintained equipment lasts and performs well.
