Use of INFACO’s F3020 pruning shear in landscaping

Why this landscape gardener has chosen INFACO pruning shears?

Interview with Yannick in collaboration with the NGPA Group, which combines plant scenography and maintenance of green spaces using INFACO tools.
Yannick has been working as a landscape gardener for 17 years, his passion intact. Based in the Pyrénées-Orientales, he divides his time between the upkeep of private and professional gardens and a more artistic activity: plant scenography for festivals. It's a multi-faceted job, where creativity has to go hand in hand with technical rigour, an eye for detail and a perfect knowledge of the environment. In his busy day-to-day work, Yannick relies on tools that meet his exacting standards. These include INFACO's F3020 professional electric pruning shears and pole.

From creation to maintenance: a multi-faceted job

Yannick works all year round to maintain gardens and carry out landscaping work. Pruning, planting, maintaining flower beds, mowing, enhancing shrubs and landscaping are all part of his regular work. He adapts each job to the needs of his customers, whether they are private individuals or businesses.

But beyond the traditional maintenance of gardens and green spaces, Yannick has developed a very speciality of his own: plant design for events. Working with festivals, he designs landscaped settings to showcase works of art or artistic performances.

The F3020 electric pruning shears: a strategic choice to protect his health

For over 15 years, Yannick has used manual pruning shears for all his pruning work. But over time, physical fatigue set in, particularly in his arms, wrists and joints. He says: "I started to feel persistent muscle pain. I realised that if I wanted to carry on working, I needed to lighten the physical load.

Switching to INFACO's F3020 electric pruning shears was a strategic decision for his health and professional longevity. Since he started using it, he has completely changed the way he works: "It's changed my life. I've gained in comfort and efficiency, and I've been able to optimise my working time. No more aches and pains, no more unnecessary fatigue, and I'm able to handle a much higher volume of work".

Thanks to its excellent ergonomics, manoeuvrability and precision, the F3020 has become an indispensable ally in the practice of landscape gardening, particularly during intensive periods such as spring, when training pruning is essential.

Yannick uses it mainly on species that are typical of dry Mediterranean gardens: lavender, olive trees, rosemary, laurel, etc. These are species that require a very clean cut. These are species that require a clean, precise cut to maintain their beauty and vigour.

The INFACO pole: work on trees at height in complete safety

Yannick has also fitted himself with the INFACO pole, compatible with the F3020 pruning shears. A tool designed for all work at height or on difficult-to-access terrain. For him, comfort and safety go hand in hand with efficiency: "Working at height is often synonymous with risk: falls, bad posture, dangerous handling on ladders, etc. The INFACO pole has enabled me to eliminate all that. I stay on the ground, in safety, and I'm more efficient.

The pole enables him to work at heights of up to 3 metres*, particularly on olive trees, a species he regularly looks after as part of his maintenance work in Mediterranean gardens and parks. Not only does it make his work safer, it also makes it more comfortable.

*The F3020's poles range from 1.37m to 4m, allowing it to reach branches up to 6m high.

A tool for quality, not just performance

Yannick chose INFACO not only for technical reasons. He also stresses the importance of being close to the brand, the reliability of the equipment, and the fact that it is a French company.

A passionate profession, supported by the right tools

Yannick describes his job as demanding and physical, but deeply rewarding. Connecting with nature, creating beauty in outdoor spaces, helping customers with their garden projects... these are all aspects that give meaning to his day-to-day work.

So the tools he uses have to be like him: reliable, efficient, precise, but also respectful of living things. Thanks to the F3020 and the INFACO pole, gardeners can now work longer, with less fatigue, while maintaining perfect workmanship.
