Lithium-ion technology is quite common in batteries, particularly because it can store a lot of energy in a small space. It is important to maintain it to ensure optimum performance and optimise the life of your battery.
All INFACO products work with Lithium-ion batteries, except older pruning shears (F3010 and previous models).
Before the first use, it is recommended to recharge the battery to 100% to calibrate the cells.
When charging the battery of your INFACO products, the environment is important:
the room must be well ventilated, free from flammable products, sources of ignition and humidity. The ideal room temperature should be between 10 and 25 degrees. In fact, it is strictly forbidden to charge batteries when the room temperature is below 0 degrees or above 40 degrees. When charging, the battery and its charger must not be covered, as this will obstruct the charger's ventilation fins.
A full charge takes approximately 2 hours for the L100B battery of the F3020 pruning shears.
As with recharging, care should be taken when choosing where to store your battery: in a well-ventilated area that's frost and damp-proof, free from flammable substances, sources of ignition or heat and, of course, out of the reach of children! Here are a few golden rules to follow when storing your battery:
Winterising your battery is equivalent to putting it on standby for a long time, and is necessary in the following cases:
Winter storage guarantees storage in good conditions and also optimises battery life! Winter storage can take up to 10 hours. Winterising the battery means that the cells can be recalibrated. If wintering is not carried out correctly, you may experience a drop in range.

#Did you know: INFACO used to use an older generation of battery: NiMH. It is still used on the F3010 pruning shears and previous models, as well as on the A3Mv2 12V.
