Since the very beginnings of INFACO in Cahuzac-sur-Vère (Tarn, France), the company's history has been intertwined with that of the family. Today, Angy Delmas (granddaughter of founder Daniel and daughter of chairman and managing director Davy) and her husband Fabien Resplandy represent the third generation within the company: project management, marketing and communication for her, after-sales management and servicing for him. Between 'luck' and 'difficulty', their careers are a true testament to the reality of working as a family in a French company that is recognised the world over.
Family is not just a word, it's a total investment. That's how Angy remembers one of her first trade shows: SITEVI, when she was just 13. During the 3-hour journey from Cahuzac sur Vère to Montpellier, her father(see the video on Davy's story) and Christophe Gout(see his video on innovation) taught her how to sell pruning shears with a solid sales pitch. For Fabien, it was a slightly different and perhaps more brutal story: he had to leave for the United States as quickly as possible to turn things around and structure everything over there. He finished his studies, worked for a few weeks in the INFACO workshop for training and then flew across the Atlantic for 4 years!
Angy admits: " I don't just work for a boss, but also for my father and grandfather... I want to make them proud. There's no doubt about it, working as a family means extra pressure and a need to prove your legitimacy. But it also brings a fluidity of communication, an implicit trust: " in one look, you understand what the other is thinking ".
Fabien and Angy were sent to the United States to structure the INFACO USA subsidiary: a market 10,000 km from home, logistics and services to be set up. The couple, a symbol of the generational transmission of knowledge, have made a name for themselves in this international opening, thanks to the very close relationship with Dany and Davy.
After this successful rescue mission :
Fabien joined the support department for a few months before taking charge of the after-sales and servicing departments;
Angy is in charge of project management, providing a link between increasingly cross-functional projects. At the same time, she took charge of the brand new communications and marketing department, which had to be set up and structured. Today, she is also Davy's executive assistant and has also been acting as interim sales manager following the retirement of our sales director(see Jean-Pierre Blatché's video on international sales and the attaché), pending recruitment.
Dany often says that " it ' s when things are difficult that you make progress ". A simple phrase, but one that sums up the spirit that still drives the Delmas family and all INFACO employees today. It's a belief that spans generations: that of the founder, his son Davy, and now Angy and Fabien. The idea that no success can be achieved without effort, questioning and perseverance.
For Angy, this philosophy translates into a demanding but always benevolent approach to work: do your best, even when conditions are difficult, and accept that mistakes are part of the learning process. Every project, every launch, every decision is taken from the heart.
Fabien, for his part, often refers to the values of service, listening and proximity. These are the values that make INFACO a deeply human company, where the relationship with employees, distributors and customers is paramount. In his words and actions, we find Dany's heritage: never forgetting where we come from, remembering that the trust of our first customers was the foundation of everything, and that it must be nurtured day after day.
With its roots in the Tarn region and its collective spirit, INFACO perpetuates the values of humility, solidarity and perseverance. The story of Angy and Fabien bears witness to this: to innovate is also to pass on. Making a tool means extending know-how, honouring the men and women behind it and moving forward together, with passion and loyalty to the family heritage.
In 1984, Daniel Delmas, founder of INFACO, invented the world’s very first electric pruning shears: the Electrocoup. Since then, INFACO has continued to innovate, with emblematic models such as the F3015 and F3020 pruning shears and technological advances such as ever more powerful lithium batteries.
In 1984, INFACO invented the very first electric pruning shears in the world: the Electrocoup. Since then, the company has continued to develop new generations (F3010, F3015, F3020) incorporating the latest technologies such as lithium and brushless motors, always in direct response to the needs of the field and always one step ahead of the competition.
The link between INFACO and its distributors means that we are as close as possible to the end users. It is they who feed back expectations, constraints in the field and suggestions for improvement. These exchanges feed the internal teams (after-sales service, design office, quality) and enable us to design tools such as the INFACO F3020 Electrocoup or the F3015 pruning shears that are ever more adapted. It is this constant dialogue that has been the strength of the INFACO brand for over 40 years.
